Although children learn from one another and socialize together, our teachers ensure that each child receives the individual care and attention they need. Through hands-on experiences, we develop personal interaction and problem-solving skills, improving their ability to communicate, socialize, and be part of a greater community. Teachers also assess each child’s development and growth, and academic and creative work is shared with parents on a regular basis. Contact us to hear more and schedule a tour.
This classroom is established for three and four-year-olds and a natural progression of their developmental stages – furthering their independence and promoting creative discovery. It’s a magical season of rapid growth, blossoming personalities, and exciting milestones!
Typically, this is a child’s first adventure into learning to cut, color and paste. We are focused on continuing to build developmentally age-appropriate fine, gross motor, and social-emotional developmental skills. Movement from one classroom to another can depend on individual child developmental progression and classroom space availability.
The room operates on a daily schedule and engages children through various art projects, sensory experiences, gross motor activities, outdoor play, storytime, and small circle times. Our curriculum focuses on the recognition of shapes, colors, and counting, and introduces kiddos to the alphabet, days of the week, months, and seasons of the year. Daily activities include but are not limited to music appreciation, learning to cut, color and paste, and paint. Additionally, as part of our small circle time, the children learn to recite their names and birth date, walk-in line, and follow specific two-stage directions.
All of my children were loved and cared for by Miss Joyce, Miss Carol, and Miss Verna along with the other teachers at Child Guidance Center.... 18 years + later, all of my kids still love to go and visit these beautiful ladies when they are in town. A great testament to the loving care they received while there.
3 of my children had the opportunity to attend here before starting school. They loved every minute and still ask to go back and visit! I couldn't have asked for a better "family" while they were there. They loved my children like their own!
Love everyone there! They treat Briella like their own.
